Abstract

Hot tub folliculitis, or Pseudomonas folliculitis, is a bacterial infection of the hair follicles that occurs after the use of hot tubs and swimming pools. It often presents in outbreaks affecting multiple individuals who have been exposed to the same contaminated water source. We present the case of an 11-year-old boy referred to the Dermatovenereology Clinic because of the sudden onset of non-itchy papular skin eruptions on the body. Subsequent epidemiological history revealed that identical skin changes developed in all family members after using a hot tub.
