Abstract
Diaper dermatitis is the most common skin disease in infants and toddlers. It mainly affects the skin that is in direct contact with the diaper. The most common cause of inflammation of the skin under the diaper is irritant contact dermatitis. However, there are many possible causes of inflammation of the skin under the diaper, so a good knowledge of specialist dermatology is required to make a definitive diagnosis and choose the right treatment.
In this article, we present a 2-year-old girl with the clinical picture of a month-long inflammation of the skin under the diaper, which we diagnosed with psoriasis, a rare skin condition in this age group.
